A huge thanks to the thousands of you who downloaded our version of Trader Joe’s ‘Fearless Flyer’ and delivered it to your local store asking the company to only sell meat raised without antibiotics.
We’ve heard some great stories across the country – from Maine to Georgia to California – about the response from staff, and would love to hear more. Did you take a flyer to Trader Joe’s? Which location? What did they say?
An extra special shout out to those that snapped a photo while delivering the flyer – check these out!
If you haven’t downloaded the flyer yet, click here. Then print it out and take it the cashier or store manager the next time you go shopping at Trader Joe’s. Got a smartphone? Take a quick pic and email it to us at photo@consumersunion.org.
All of this feedback helps us in our campaign to end the overuse of antibiotics in meat production. If you have any details about your flyer delivery to share, please tell us about it in the comments below.
Thanks again!

I took a flyer to the Trader Joe’s in Nashua, NH. The cashier just took it and put it under the counter and didn’t say anything.
I printed copies of the flyer and distributed them at my women’s book club. All of the women regularly shop at Trader Joes in Towson, MD and turned them in.
I used to be a scientist doing research on the ripple-effect of antibiotics in animal feed at Tufts university. See publications by Dr Stuart Levy et al for more facts.
I took a flyer to the manager of the Short Pump store, near Richmond, VA. The manager apparently had not seen this flyer earlier. He told me repeatedly that Trader Joe’s offers a CHOICE of meat to buy.
Actually, I do not buy meat there very often because I live about 35 miles away (about 1 hour drive). Instead I tend to eat fish and cheese that is readily available locally.
I spoke with a clerk and a manager at my local Trader Joe’s in Redlands CA. Both said TJ does not have antibiotics in their meat. I gave the mgr a flyer anyway….do not know what he did with it.
