After Kansas Governor’s veto of a bad labeling bill will the legislature override?
It looks like the veto might stand according to key Kansas lawmakers:
Both Senate President Steve Morris, a Hugoton Republican, and Rep. Larry Powell, chairman of the House Agriculture and Natural Resources Committee, noted that the bill failed to garner the two-thirds majority needed to override a veto in either chamber when it passed earlier this month.
“The way the votes went, I don’t think we can override it,” said Powell, a Garden City Republican. “I’m not sure we would want to waste the time trying.”
However, as Yogi Berra would say, “It’s not over until it’s over.” So, if you live in Kansas please call your State Legislators and tell them to not override this important labeling bill. Click here to find your Kansas Legislator.
Not in My Food.org : Know what you're eating

I expect to have safe dairy products now that bill is here!
Dear People of Kansas,I grow up on organic raw milk, I never got sick and neither did my brother or other sisters. As long as the milking cows are kept cleaned and happy, The milk is good said the kitty.Be very careful what you vote for. It should be a god given right to eat food that is not poisoned and clean water to drink that isnt polluted. Im truly disgusted with our federal goverment to do this to the childeren of families.
